Samuel Pack was born in Augusta County, Virginia in 1760 and was a teenager when the Revolutionary War began. He provided patriotic service to the Revolutionary forces and signed the Oath of Allegiance in 1777. Samuel died circa 1833 in Monroe County, Virginia (now West Virginia).
