Dawn over our local mountains symbolizes the early and important role of our local Revolutionary Patriots.

We are almost 80 friendly and welcoming women united in our dedication to the NSDAR missions of historic preservation, education, and patriotism. We range in age from twenty-something to over ninety. Our Alleghany Chapter is part of Virginia Daughters of the American Revolution and the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR).

We meet at 1:30 p.m. on the first Thursday afternoon of most months from September through May. We do have occasional meetings at other times to accommodate members who cannot attend at the usual time. For more information please click here to contact us.
